CPI (Central Paranormal Investigations) was officially formed in 2007, however, the core team members were all either part of other groups or had been involved in investigations or had shown interest in the paranormal.

From the outset we set goals to become  a successful team, built upon respect, trust and friendship with each others.  This allows us to be comfortable with each other and to spread our wings of investigation further than just the West Midlands where we are based.

We believe that our bonds as friends allow us to work closely together, listen to each other and give our clients and investigation guests (where applicable) a relaxed, informative and trustworthy atmosphere.  Our clients can be comfortable knowing we are NOT some fly-by-night team who are just out for laughs - this has been proven by our track record and the feedback we have received from previous clients.

We reassure our clients that we are a professional team, some of our members belong to professional bodies (Science and Health Care) as well as higher levels of education (Honours degrees in Science, Physics, Health Care, and qualifications in Management, Accountancy and law), alongside commitments to further everyones education in the team – show we are a committed group and not just trying to ride off the “excitement” shown in television programs.

We have built up a raport with numerous public places - some of which we have investigated a number of times and had the privilege to take along guests to follow up investigations.

We have investigated Pubs, Clubs, Hotels, Restaurants, Abandoned Ruins, Castles and numerous other public places.  We have also been invited along to investigate potential hauntings at private homes and places of work - all of which have yielded successful results and proven our skills with clients.  References are available for these locations on request to potential future clients.

We appreciate that each investigation has its own special requirements, from the peace-of-mind and "tactful" approach to investigating someone's own home or business - to ensuring that on public ticketed events that our clients have an enjoyable, fun and exciting time.

We have a fundamental set of ethical policies as well as a commitment to health and safety.  Our health and safety procedures (to be published in more detail soon) and code of conduct are being developed by a qualified professional in this field who is now also part of our team.

On every investigation  we are prudent to ensure that safety is our top priority and all locations are checked out for potential hazards.  Health and safety "of the mind" is also important to us and anyone on location that could potentially endanger anyone (i.e. by threatening/abusive behaviour or appearing to practice dark magic) is requested to leave.  We also eject anyone who is found to be "faking" activity or trying to cause hysteria for their own enjoyment - whether this is a ticketed event or not.

We are also very keen to assure anyone who comes to our ticketed events that real investigations are not always like as seen on TV and can often be quiet and uneventful - we will NOT fake activity for the enjoyment of an evening - and we expect our guests to understand and respect that rule.

We bring with us ten years of experience from some team members (those of us that have many wrinkles!) and the skills and new ideas of our younger team members.  This energy and vitality shows in all aspects of our work.
